It's Scorpio Season, Baby: Your Scorpio Season 2026 Guide
It's Scorpio season, baby, and the sky is about to get verrrry interested in everything you keep behind closed doors. Scorpio Season 2026 begins when the Sun enters Scorpio at 5:37am New York time on Friday 23 October and runs until the Sun moves into Sagittarius at 2:23am on Sunday 22 November, and it opens with Mercury stationing retrograde the very next morning while Venus is still retrograde from Libra season, so this season starts in the deep end.
Scorpio is the fixed water sign, ruled traditionally by Mars and in modern astrology by Pluto, and it governs intimacy, trust, desire, shared money, power and transformation. Libra season asked whether your relationships felt fair, and Scorpio season goes underneath them to find out what is really driving the whole thing.
Scorpio Season 2026 key dates
Every time below is New York time, from the same Swiss Ephemeris that powers every chart inside MY SZN.
24 October: Mercury stations retrograde in Scorpio
Mercury turns retrograde at 20°58' Scorpio at 3:12am and stays there until 13 November, so reread before you send, research before you sign and let the conversations that matter happen slowly.
25 and 26 October: Venus backs into Libra, then the Taurus full moon
Venus, still retrograde, slides back into Libra at 5:09am on 25 October. The full moon follows at 2°45' Taurus at 12:11am on 26 October, lighting up the axis between what you own and what you share.
9 November: new moon in Scorpio
The new moon lands at 16°53' Scorpio at 2:02am, the most private, potent reset of the year for intentions around desire, intimacy, money and power.
13 November: Mercury and Venus both turn direct
Mercury stations direct at 5°02' Scorpio at 10:53am and Venus at 22°51' Libra at 7:27pm, so the planets of thinking and loving start moving forward on the same day, and the decisions you have been circling for weeks get clear enough to make.
What Scorpio season is about
Scorpio belongs to the eighth house, the part of the chart that holds sex, death, rebirth, debt, inheritance, other people's money and the psychological stuff you usually save for your therapist. Its energy is intense, loyal, private and magnetic, and this is the season when you can smell bullsh*t from across the room, your own included.
With Mercury retrograde for the first three weeks, old feelings, old patterns and old money stories come back up for review, and the gift is getting to look at them with the lights on. Scorpio rewards the woman who is willing to look her jealousy, her control and her fear of being seen in the eye and turn all of it into power, which makes this the best month of the year for shadow work.
Journal prompts for Scorpio season
Write these fast, by candlelight if you are feeling witchy, and without editing. Take them into your MY SZN journal, where every entry sits next to your chart and your season.
The want you keep private
Write about the desire you have never said out loud, and what your life would look like if you went after it fully.
Where your power leaks
List the people, habits and money patterns that leave you drained, then circle the one you will deal with before the new moon on 9 November.
The version of you ready to go
Scorpio is death and rebirth, so write a short goodbye letter to a version of you who has done her job, and thank her before you let her go.
Scorpio season affirmations
Say them out loud, write them on the mirror or keep them in your affirmations deck, which changes with the season and your sun sign.
I am safe to be seen all the way through.
For the real you that usually stays behind a locked door.
My desire is information, and I trust it.
For every want you were taught to feel guilty about.
I release what I have outgrown, and I rise.
